During the proceedings of Monday’s Little Falls City Council meeting, which I watched last night on Channel 6, a motion passed unanimously to prevent solicitors from door knocking past 6 p.m. or sunset, whichever comes earlier. While this fish doesn’t particularly care for unsolicited solicitors, the City Council may want to consider, seeing as how they are all politicians and have probably done their fair share of door knocking, how this might just hamper their future political efforts. An awful lot of people still work during the day, not getting home until 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. Which constituents might they be missing with this ordinance?

Would you like to buy a Ronco fish scaler/slicer/dicer?

Correction (October 14, 2007) – The ordinance states that it is unlawful for any solicitor to call between 6:00 p.m. or one-half hour before sunset, whichever occurs first.  – P.F.A.P.
